About this place
Set in Asagaya-kita, Daishichisei is a steakhouse where operating hours vary by day, sometimes extending as late as 6:00 in the morning. The house specialty is US beef hanging tender (sagari), ordered by weight anywhere from 100g up to 250g. Diners can enjoy the hearty, direct appeal of thick-cut lean beef either à la carte or as a set meal complete with salad alongside plain rice, garlic toast, or garlic rice.
The fragrant garlic rice pairs naturally with the steak, though it is also popular enough to enjoy on its own. For the beef, a selection of dipping sauces and condiments—such as spicy cod roe butter, garlic miso, and coarsely grated daikon radish (oni-oroshi)—allows each portion to be seasoned differently from one bite to the next.
The variety among rice dishes and side items is another defining feature of the menu. Meat fried rice comes in stepped portions of pork or beef under names like Niku Niku Chahan and Niku Niku Niku Chahan, joined by green chili and spicy cod roe fried rice, omurice, and dry curry. Bites suited for drinking include gyoza, chicken cutlets, and beef tendon with ponzu, rounding out relaxed evenings over draft beer, highballs, or shochu with tea.
The ground floor is centered on counter seating, accommodating quick solo dinners just as comfortably as a late-night drink. Cashless payments via code apps such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay are accepted at the register.
